Celebrating 100 years of CPT, Anton Boisen's Tradition
Welcome to the 100th Anniversary Year of the Clinical Pastoral Training Movement, founded by Anton T. Boisen in 1925.
The College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy will celebrate the Centenary Anniversary of the Boisen movement, also known as Clinical Pastoral Training, APRIL 6 - 9, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.Each of us who is indebted to Boisen's reshaping of the eleemosynary aspects of American religions will want to be part of this 2025 CPSP Plenary celebration. Boisen's work humanized all manifestations of religion in public institutions by drawing from the 20th century's emergent psychotherapy movement spawned by Sigmund Freud. Boisen's north star was a vision of mental and physical health, joined by interpersonal care and integrity.Come to be a part of this milestone, in person, Plenary Event, as we reflect on its significance in our clinical and psychotherapeutic work.
